BUT LIKE EVEN WHITEROSE SAYS “IT DEPENDS ON YOUR DEFINITION OF REAL”
SHIT IS GONNA GET MANEY I SWEAR TO GOd

she’s working against it now, especially in season two. she’s forming new paths in her mind to learn to rely on herself and no one else. and now after talking to whiterose, she totally threw herself into it because it’s giving her the worth and purpose she craves.

can i just say that angela lowkey hero worships elliot sometimes and it’s really unhealthy. like she puts her self worth in him. i don’t condone it. but her love map got really fucked after her mom died. her dad was there, of course, but he was lost in his own mourning and death in the family like that just ruins the dynamic. elliot became her sole consistent source of love and affection. he was the solution to her loneliness for a really long time.

like. the paper backups are all just a distraction for the actual real hack.

okay this sounds insane–

but i gotta write it down.

oh my god. they’re going to erase not only the history of all land property, but whiterose is going to literally hack people. everything is going to be erased so there won’t be any history of power. everything will be reset. it’s going to be a massive reset and there’s some sort of renewal that will change everything. i’m not sure what yet.

the power outages are really important and the broadcast on angela’s tv at the end of the last episode points again at the power outages. there’s more to them than what it seems. the more people are chipped, the more mental energy is produced.

angela, when she’s at the lawyer’s place, flickers the light on purpose. her emotion is power and it’s strong.

elliot, when in the hideout with tyrell, flickers the light when he’s about to get into the elevator because he doesn’t have control over it. the emotion is confusion and it is very strong.

darlene, when walking through the cubicles, also flickers the lights. she’s feeling powerful and in awe, and probably also scared. but it’s a pivotal moment. she’s seeing how much of an effect she’s made and the emotion is strong.

tyrell and elliot also have a moment where tyrell is like “its a good thing they gave us these computers in lieu of the power outages.” either that’s whiterose sending a message through the lights flickering, or whiterose is running some kind of tests behind the scenes that need a lot of power.

regardless of exactly what it is, the “power outages” is really integral.

sam literally never does anything in scenes unless there’s a reason. he wouldn’t have the lights flickering at those moments if it didn’t mean it wasn’t important.

there’s a reason why it’s called mr. robot.
