“Oh uh nah, not old just…older… than me.”
It’s dawning on him that perhaps he needs to
start thinking before he speaks. He won’t. But
it’d be a good idea. “I mean I’m just guessin’ ya
ain’t younger than 25.”

She wilts significantly, a small pout forming.
“Well at least I don’t look forty, right? It just
gets a little annoying when I get carded all
the time. It really doesn’t help that I’m blonde
either. Being a lawyer and blonde gets me so
many fucking Elle Woods jokes, I seriously want
to start committing murders,” she taunts, smiling.
“I’m twenty-nine, so not completely ancient, yet.
Still got some party vibes goin’. Sure, I’ll go, why
not?”

“No don’t do this. Not to her, please.” He begged, the tears flowing down his cheeks faster. Ahk struggled the whole way, finally giving up as he was strapped to the table. “What are you going to do to me?” He whispered.Luis and Dank pull off of him as another man sighs in the corner. “No. No, little brother. It’s what you’ve done to us,” he said as a small smirk flowed along his lips, standing and walking over with a syringe in his hand.
Ahk looked up in shock. “Kah? Oh God no. Please. Do what you want to me but don’t hurt Ang. This isn’t her fault.” He begged, struggling against the restraints as he saw the syringe. “You don’t even need me.”
“Yeah well, dad’s been a major dick and I don’t have you to beat up anymore,” he said, tapping on the syringe. “Why should you be able to have a good life, and not me? You were always the favorite,” he sneered, waking forward into the light.
She closes the door behind him and she’s shaking lightly. The tears were gathering in her eyes. She is so /stupid/, she thought to herself as she sniffles. Angela let out a nervous hiccup and covered her mouth tighter, closing her eyes. Maybe if she closed her eyes, it would all go away. She breathed out slowly and looked back up at him, the tears flowing down easily now. Shaking her head, she sighed. “He’s not my boyfriend anymore. Besides, it wasn’t Ollie, he’s an idiot. He wouldn’t have been able to avoid security cameras like I did.” Angela didn’t know why she was telling this stranger this. It was most likely a result of lack of sleep, finding her dad’s insurance bills, and the surmounting rise of guilt. She’d almost ruined the life of someone. He was a tool. But he was still a person. A person that cheated on her.. But doing this to him was no justification. The lives of Gideon, Elliot, everyone. It all started to piece together, the tears rolling down her cheeks. “I don’t know who it is. It was some dude on the corner right outside of the office. He had a cap and talked like a wannabe white boy rapper. If I saw him, I’d be able to point him out.”She blushes softly under his gaze, blinking repeatedly. Her father isn’t home, and that’s a good sign. She’s been needing the personal space to clear her mind. Jersey was a nice get away from the clutter of her life. A brow raised incredulously at his words as she sized him up. Hmm. Probably a nerd buddy, she told herself mentally as she gave him the once over. Angela is getting impatient, she wants him to tell her what he needs and get back to her workout. It was the only thing keeping her calm nowadays. That, and baking desserts and crafting beaded bracelets. She matches his gaze and notices how fierce they are and make the heat rush to her cheeks mainly out of awkward confusion. And then those fateful words slip from his lips and she’s gaping and stammering. “How did you.. I–” she said, her heart thundering in her chest as she stared at him with horror in her eyes. She’d never thought of the repercussions of Elliot being involved. Angela started to tear up and nodded him in, covering her mouth up to try to calm herself down. The instant shift in her demeanor doesn’t slip him and honestly, had his mind not been any more preoccupied with anything else – especially of this importance—the need to calm her down probably would’ve won out. Yet how would he have done that without lying?
With a nod the older man steps in, habitually taking off his cap and turning to face her. Whatever scan he has of the inside of the home gives only one word, cozy, which isn’t much to go off. So he hopes that this works out well, even if his original plan to confront the culprit changes. That is to say, that she isn’t in on it and that the hacker is being played here. Unfortunately, he is willing to take that leap of faith.
“Seems to me that your boyfriend has inserted something into the Allsafe network. I can’t exactly say what it is without a proper look, but I think I can guess the source. And if I’m right about the source…” Mr. Robot looks off to the side there before dropping his head, avoiding eye contact for the next part, “Well, I can’t exactly tell you why, but things wouldn’t end well.”
What if clouds and lakes switched spots and every time you looked up you’d see waves being pulled by the moon and we’d wade through the clouds on a hot day. What if birds grew grass and the ground grew feathers. What if flowers were as tall as trees and trees as small as flowers.
I’ll have whatever he’s having.
“Why?” She said incredulously, looking away and breathing in and out harshly. She didn’t want to create a scene. But Angela had been through this before. She was okay alone. She was stronger alone. She didn’t need anyone to fight her battles for her.
“Because you’re beautiful.” He shook his head. “That one night with Riaz. It was a mistake. I was just emotional and I…I made a mistake.” He whispered. “I know I’ve said it a lot but I’m still sorry.”
She crossed her arms and felt the tears well up in her eyes, burning at the edges of her eyes. “You’re still in love with him. I was just a replacement.. You promised me… That you wouldn’t do th-that…” Angela shook her head and stalked off, away from the public eye and around the corner of the coffee shop. She didn’t want to cry in front of him.
